Continuing Education

The Northeast AHEC provides accessible, quality continuing education to healthcare professionals in Northeastern Kentucky. Most of the programming provided by the Northeast AHEC is targets a multi-disciplinary audience, with the goal of reaching as many healthcare professionals as possible.

Our continuing education program is an accredited provider of Continuing Medical Education through the Kentucky Medical Association (KMA), and an accredited provider of Continuing Pharmacy Education through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Continuing education credits are also available for the following disciplines at many of our programs: Dentists, Dietitians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, Radiology Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Social Workers.

The Northeast AHEC serves as an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site and hosts ongoing courses. These courses include: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
