This course is directed primarily toward maternity care providers, including physicians, nurses, and certified nurse midwives.  If you require special services for this program please indicate at time of registration or call 606.783.6453.

Overall Course Objectives:

• Discuss ways of improving the management of obstetrical urgencies and emergencies, which may help standardize the skills of practicing maternity care providers.
• Discuss the importance of utilizing regional maternity care services and identify possible barriers which might limit access.
• Successfully complete the course written test and megadelivery testing station.

This Live activity, ALSO Provider Course, with a date range of 07/20/2015 - 07/21/2015, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 15.00 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The American Academy of Family Physicians is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 18.00 contact hours applicable for RN, LPN, or LMHT relicensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing Provider Number; LT0278-0312. This is an advanced level course and may not be suitable for all general continuing nursing education.

Successful Completion

For successful completion of this continuing education program, participants must sign appropriate attendance roster, be present for entire program and complete and return course evaluation before leaving.  A statement of credit will be issued within 2-3 weeks following completion of program.
