Library
As an effort to improve quality healthcare in rural areas the Northeast AHEC partners with St. Claire Regional Medical Center to provide a comprehensive medical library for students and healthcare professionals. Over 900 books and 150 journals, computer access and quiet study areas are available at the 24-hour facility. The library also has a collection of media equipment that is available for meetings or presentations.
As part of the Eastern Kentucky Health Science Information Network (EKHSIN) medical library services are provided to six medical and three academic institutions. Through this network, library staff can perform interlibrary loans and literature searches for medical students and faculty.
Internet Access
The library has 14 computer stations for computer access, eight of the stations can be reserved for computer training courses.
Periodical Room
The periodicals room is a great place to come and study or research. The room is also equipped with teleconferencing equipment connected to the St. Claire TeleCare network.
