Jessica is the student services coordinator for the Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center. She is a resident of Morehead, Ky., and earned her bachelor’s degree in health and physical education in 2009, and a master’s degree in wellness promotion from Morehead State University in 2013. Jessica began as a student services educational assistant at the Northeast KY AHEC in 2013 and was promoted to continuing education administrator in 2014. In early 2015, Jessica transferred to the University of Kentucky AHEC Program Office to take the position of health careers coordinator before returning to the Northeast KY AHEC later that year. She now coordinates clinical rotations for third- and fourth-year University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Kentucky Rural Physician Leadership Program medical students. She is also responsible for recruiting new clinical preceptors within northeast Kentucky. Jessica presented on the topic of physician pipeline initiatives at the 2016 National AHEC Organization conference and at the 2017 National Rural Health Association. Jessica has also presented at NAO’s (National AHEC Organization) biennial conference in 2018.

Fun fact: Jessica is extremely knowledgeable in all things related to horror films and Marilyn Monroe. She is also a proud dog mom.
