KaLeigh Hemminger started with the Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center (NE KY AHEC) in January 2018. As the Outreach Services Coordinator, KaLeigh manages all of the NE KY AHEC’s marketing, social media, and graphic design. In this role she works closely with each division of the NE KY AHEC to help create promotional materials (flyers, brochures, banners, etc.), online surveys, online forms, visual reports, and manage social media accounts.

In July 2020, she became Director of the Northeast Kentucky Substance Use Response Coalition. This Coalition, which was selected as the National Rural Health Association’s “Outstanding Rural Health Program” for 2021, has been awarded six different federally-funded grant projects and brought more than $3.4 million into its 18-county service region. Comprised of eight health care and social service organizations, the coalition is focused on building a community-based approach to addressing the opioid and substance use epidemic. As Director of the Coalition, KaLeigh works with each of the specific grant project’s staff members to oversee facilitation of the work plan, completion of required deliverables, and organization of the eight separate entities to work together and meet quarterly.
