Kirsten B. They have multiple years of health care experience in various settings ranging from sales within durable medical equipment to secretarial/technician duties within clinical settings. Kirsten’s AHEC role includes, but is not limited to, promoting health careers education through pipeline programming to students in high school and undergraduate programs, as well as those within qualifying graduate-level programs. They provide support for health careers education through development, recruitment, and facilitation of regional health career camps, after-school programs, and other health education awareness activities.

Kirsten also serves as a member of the Kentucky Rural Health Association (KRHA) and oversees/facilitates one of the three KRHA Student Chapters within the state.

As a project staff member for the Northeast KY Substance Use Response Coalition, Kirsten is also responsible for coordinating and implementing prescription misuse and substance use prevention education for students. This is organized within three federally funded grant projects awarded to the coalition.

Kirsten earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2017 from Morehead State University.

Fun fact: Kirsten is originally from Augusta, Ga. (home of the Masters golf tournament), but is not, by any means, a master at golf.
