Luke Stapleton joined the Northeast KY AHEC in June of 2022 as Outreach Services Coordinator and Director of the Northeast KY Substance Use Response Coalition. This Coalition, which was selected as the National Rural Health Association’s “Outstanding Rural Health Program” for 2021, has been awarded six federally-funded grant projects within its existence, and has brought more than $6 million into its 18-county service region. Comprised of eight health care and social service organizations, the coalition is focused on building a community-based approach to addressing the opioid and substance use epidemic.

Luke has served on several boards, including the State Elder Abuse Council, the Carter County Library Board, the FIVCO Long Term Care Advisory Council, and he currently serves as the treasurer for Recovery Rowan County. He is a certified Community Development Block Grant administrator and has more than 7 years of grant administration experience. Luke has been a member of the Kentucky Rural Health Association since 2022.

Luke earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from Ohio Christian University and is currently pursuing a masters degree. Luke lives in Grayson with his wife, Brittany, and their three daughters, Brayleigh, Lillie, and Rylee.
