Careers in Health Advanced Summer Experience (CHASE)

What is CHASE?

The Careers in Health Advanced Summer Experience (CHASE) offers incoming and current high school students a two-day summer camp experience at a local hospital or clinic in their community. Participants will hear from guest speakers who work in the healthcare field, learn more about AHEC, and engage in hands-on activities. 

CHASE Camp locations are announced every April, and applications are open from April to May 23. 

When are CHASE Camps?

Camps are held every June, typically from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. 

How can I apply?  

Incoming and current high school students residing in the host county are eligible to apply. The following documents are required for the application: 

1.  CHASE Application 
2.  A 200-word personal essay, which must be included for consideration 
3.  Guardian Consent Form
