Pathways by AHECs using VR Education

What is PAVE?

PAVE is a virtual reality program that allows students to learn and practice hands-on healthcare skills through virtual reality training. Students will attend informational virtual webinars, workforce training sessions, in-person monthly meetings, and complete a one week hands-on work experience. Each cohort runs from January to August.

Eligible Students Must:

Be a high school or undergraduate student in the Northeast Kentucky 17-county service region interested in pursuing a health care career.

When to Apply:

Applications will be open from October 15th and will close on December 1st.

Required Application Materials:

  • One 250-word essay

  • Letter of recommendation from an academic or workplace professional 

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Attach unofficial transcript

  • Interest in a health care career field
