Matthew Porter joined the Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center in September 2022 as an Educational Assistant.

Matthew has held jobs in agriculture, library sciences, education, academic research and other fields. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2018 from Morehead State University after majoring in English and philosophy. He graduated with a Master of Arts in English in 2020, also from Morehead State University, where he served as an adjunct instructor of composition.

He was born in Ashland and has been a lifelong resident of Morehead, though he sometimes claims Sandy Hook and Olive Hill as his hometowns, too. In his spare time he enjoys playing and listening to music, reading, writing, drawing, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and watching NBA games.

Fun fact: Matthew has three cats, all of whom are abnormally sized.
