KRHA Legislative Day 2023

Our Center Director, Assistant Center Director, Health Careers team and several students attended the annual Kentucky Rural Health Association Legislative Day on March 3, 2023. They had a great day advocating for continuation of enhanced health careers pipeline funding for the statewide AHEC program. They were also given the opportunity to meet with several senators and representatives from Northeastern Kentucky, as well as Rocky Adkins. (Full list of senators and representatives below)

Students in attendance were able to share how the Northeast Kentucky AHEC is assisting them on their health careers journeys! The students that were able to attend include: Caleb Ashley, Katie Stumbo, Tanner Hamilton, Noah Sammons, Noah Saylor, Alec Stone, and Dalton Coleman. Students listed above are in undergraduate programs at Morehead State University and Kentucky Christian University, and are currently involved in out STEPS program, KRHA Student Chapter, or both.
