Littleton Promoted to Education Coordinator

Please join us in congratulating staff member, Megan Littleton, on her recent promotion to Education Coordinator at the Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center (NE KY AHEC). Littleton takes over this position for KaSandra Hensley, who has been serving as both Assistant Center Director of the NE KY AHEC and Education Coordinator. Hensley will now focus full-time on her Assistant Center Director duties.

Littleton joined the NE KY AHEC in 2019 as an educational assistant for the continuing education (CE) division. In the two years since, she has worked diligently to learn the inner workings of this department; everything from coordinating speakers, planning CE events, ensuring proper documentation is completed for grant funders and accrediting bodies (KMA/CME, ACPE, CNE, etc.) , and facilitating in-person and virtual events.

“Before starting with AHEC, I never knew how important providing continuing education opportunities to providers was to rural health care,” Littleton said. “It’s rewarding because the providers leave our events, take what they learn, and give back to our community. I am so happy to serve an underserved rural community, and ecstatic to transition into this role.”
