NE KY AHEC welcomes Ariah Burrell

NE KY AHEC staff welcomed Ariah Burrell as the new Outreach Services Coordinator in November. Ariah is originally from Flemingsburg, KY, but now resides in Mt. Sterling, KY. In December of 2020, Ariah obtained her bachelor’s degree in health promotion from Morehead State University. She is currently attending the University of the Cumberland’s to obtain her master’s degree in clinical mental health Counseling.

As the Outreach Services Coordinator for the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) Implementation II and III grants, Ariah will be coordinating community recovery events, Mental Health First Aid trainings, presenting youth prevention education lessons to local school districts, and providing support to Coalition members in carrying out project activities within the service area.

“I am very eager to begin this journey as the Outreach Services Coordinator,” Ariah said. “I look forward to working with our communities, to serve the people in our service region, and to ultimately make a difference.”
