Jessica Pennington (Student Services Coordinator for the Northeast AHEC), along with Joseph Hackwork (3rd-year medical student from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine), Makayla Arnett (3rd-year medical student from University of Kentucky Rural Physical Leadership Program), and Dr. Rebecca Todd (Assistant Dean to the UK Rural Physician Leadership Program) presented at The Regional Medical Campus Conference in Savannah, Georgia June 5th-7th.
The group gave a presentation titled “Scheduling Squeeze: Creating a beneficial system to assign preceptors to all health care professionals in training utilizing the same regional facility.”
This conference serves as the singular networking and professional development opportunity for leaders of regional medical campuses (and those with roles, responsibilities, and interests related to regional campuses and community-based education) to share how they address challenges and develop strategies to meet organizational goals at their respective campuses.
